Recently I was told by a stake high counselor, and happens to be a psychiatrist, that I'm Introverted. I've always heard this statement, but only had a vague understanding of what this meant. After hearing him say it, however, I decided to look up the definition, and read an in depth description of what being introverted means. Shockingly, the definition I found describes me to the letter, so I have decided to use its explanation for my profile.
Introversion is "the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one's own mental life". Introverts are people whose energy tends to expand through reflection and dwindle during interaction. Introverts tend to be more reserved and less outspoken in large groups. They often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, music, drawing, tinkering, playing video games, watching movies and plays, and using computers, along with some more reserved outdoor activities such as fishing. An introvert is likely to enjoy time spent alone and find less reward in time spent with large groups of people, though he or she may enjoy interactions with close friends. Trust is usually an issue of significance: a virtue of utmost importance to an introvert choosing a worthy companion. They prefer to concentrate on a single activity at a time and like to observe situations before they participate. Introverts are easily overwhelmed by too much stimulation from social gatherings and engagement. They are more analytical before speaking.
Anyway, I hope that gives you some idea of what I'm like, but if your not satisfied with that here is a bit more information about myself....
I am a graphic designer. I've been LDS my whole life, but I'm in no way perfect. I have had to study and gain a testimony for myself just like everybody else. I was a nursery leader for several years, and currently serving as first counselor of the Young Men in my home ward. I love kids and look forward to the day when I can become a father. I love my family and would do just about anything for them. I'm the middle child out of 5, with 2 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. I always try to be polite and I hate rude people. Like it says above, I'm usually reserved and quiet (in fact once at school I convinced a girl I was mute and didn't talk for an entire semester). Honestly, I'm a bit of a nerd. I enjoy Cartoons, Video Games and Comic Books, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy getting out of the house from time to time for the occasional adventure.
You can try and IM me, however, my pop-up blockers prevent me from seeing the IM window. So no offense if it seems like I ignore you. Feel free to send me a message though.
