Hi! I'm Scott. I'm considerate, hard-working, creative, and fun-loving. I like lots of things, including light-hearted conversations, building forts out of boxes, and putting craisins in salads. But I especially enjoy giving service alongside someone I love!
I grew up in a small town in Indiana, then served in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission (speaking Bulgarian). I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in physiology, with honors and an English minor. I am currently (until 2016) a med student in an M.D. training program. My dreams include becoming a husband, father, physician, and author, as well as giving service in the Church.
My friends say I'm "unique and funny," which is a wonderful compliment! I work hard in school, but I prefer to be defined by my qualities and personality. At a dance, I love dancing with a girl, forgetting myself, and just thinking about the two of us having a good time together. I really like discovering amazing places and people close to home, though I also want to visit other countries and cultures, someday! My passion for serving has led me to work hard in school, conflicting sometimes with my passion for fun and adventure, but in the end it will all turn out for the best!
I love the Church! I know Jesus Christ lives, and that He leads the Church. I believe that when two people both strive to become closer to God, they also become closer to each other. I love serving in the Church and doing missionary work. One day I hope to serve a mission with my future wife.
Some of my favorite activities are seeing plays and musicals, movies at home with pizza, ultimate Frisbee at sunset, dancing swing to a live band (with trombonists), morning runs with a friend, baking chocolate chip cookies, hiking behind waterfalls, playing Studio Ghibli songs on piano, designing educational games, volunteer tutoring, going to the temple, and picnics in the park with kids. I love being with family and friends!
I look forward to getting to know you! Let me know if you would like to share some time together!
