I try very hard to live by what the Holy Ghost impresses on me to do. I have found through sad experience that if I do not follow a prompting things turn out bad for me. I live a busy life. Between work and Church service I have little free time. But I try to make time for the things that count.
I try to read the scriptures each day, right after I wake up. I find that if I wait until later in the day I tend to forget to read them.
I have had several callings in the Church. I have been a Sunday School Teacher, Secretary to the Elders Quorum several times, Second Councilor in the Young Men's Presidency, Ward Mission Leader, and currently the High Priest Group Leader. Each of these callings has forced me to grow in the gospel, especially being the High Priest Group Leader. I have found that with each calling I have to rely on the Holy Ghost in different ways.
Being the Ward Mission Leader and the High Priest Group Leader, you sit in the Ward Council and Priesthood Executive Comity. Working with my Bishop in these councils has given me great spiritual insight into the way Heavenly Father works and how Christ wants his Church to be run. This has strengthened my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
I try to live by the motto, you can try and fail and try and fail again, but you never fail to you fail to try again. With this in mind it keeps me thinking that I can make it with Gods help.
