2014 has been an incredible year for me. I am very grateful for the health and strength that I’ve gained throughout the year, for the blessings Heavenly Father has bestowed on my two boys, Chris and Nick, they are amazing little men that constantly fill my heart with love. I’ve never felt more appreciated and loved then when I go to pick them up and I hear their excited cry: “DADDY!”. Even when I was young I always knew I wanted to be a father. Helping them grow and seeing their personalities develop is the most satisfying work I could ever imagine doing.
I have always been an appreciator of performing arts, though I’ve never had the talent for performing myself, I enjoy taking in and being inspired by great symphonies, beautiful musicals, thrilling contests, and a little movie magic now and again. Operatic music in particular holds a special place in my heart, its music that enlivens the soul and moves through the core of you. Opera singers demonstrate the highest heights and lowest lows of the human vocal range.
My average morning begins at 4:30am with a trip to the gym. Treating the body as a temple includes proper maintenance and cleaning in addition to living the gospel to bring the spirit into it. I run at least one full marathon a year. I love the thrill of lengthening my stride, bursting through personal barriers and pushing myself to achieve more. Health and fitness is and always will be a very important aspect of my life.
Lastly and most importantly, the gospel is the chief cornerstone in my life. Though times have on occasion been tough, I know Heavenly Father has looked out for me and blessed my family. I am eternally grateful for the people He has introduced into my life, the impact they have left, and the lessons they have taught.
