Hi, my name is Brent. The description people have placed on me that I take the most pride in is "cultured redneck". I'm just as comfortable in a tux as I am in my grubby jeans and ripped up t-shirt. That is to say, I love reading the classics, going to the theater and listening to classical music, but at the same time, I love working with my hands, playing mud football, and I'm pretty traditional when it comes to my values and outlook on life. Honor means a lot to me, and I'm still of the mind that a man should be taken at his word, and a handshake means as much as your signature on a dotted line.
I'm from a little town in the Northern California valley, and I love the small town feel. Big cities are great to visit, but I'm a country boy at heart. The occasional trips I make to New York, San Francisco or Boston, and the trips I'd like to make to Paris, Cairo, St. Petersburg, Jerusalem and many others, are enough for me.
I like sports (I am a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan), theater, hiking, reading and pretty much anything that hints at adventure. :) I've been sky-diving a couple of times and I'm planning a scuba-diving trip for this summer. And sometimes its just nice to curl up on the couch after a long day and watch a good movie. Action, romantic comedy, drama... doesn't really matter. I enjoy movies from all genres. Same with music. I like classical, country, rock, a little bit of rap (not a lot, and as long as the lyrics actually have a point). Just depends on the mood I'm in.
I love meeting new people and making friends, but ultimately I'm doing this because I believe that the right person for me is out there, and if I even have to try online dating to track them down, then so be it. :) I'm not one to rush a relationship, I'm just trying every avenue possible to meet the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. I want to travel, go on adventures, build a life and a family with the best friend I've yet to find. In the mean time, I'll push forward with my career, religious and personal goals so that maybe I can be close to good enough when I find that girl. :)
I'm looking for a girl who knows who she is, but loves to try new things. Somebody who loves to laugh and can have a good time no matter what they are doing. Who can sit through a sporting event and a theatrical performance and be interested in both. Most importantly, somebody who shares the same values, and puts family, friends and values before everything else.
I don't think its important for friends or couples to like all the same things. Its just important that they are willing to take interest in the things the other person loves. Being a little different just means that its a wonderful opportunity to introduce the other person to something new.
Long story short, I'm sappy, I'm a cowboy, I'm a sports nut, I'm a goof and an incredibly loyal friend. If you would like to get to know me, shoot me a message, and we should go grab a bite to eat sometime. Thanks for taking the time to read. I hope you have a great day.
