I was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi and have somehow managed to find myself still here after 27 years of life. Maybe that's why I'm single. I've actually never thought about it until now. haha

My son, Paxton, is 6 years old and he is the coolest kid ever! Yeah, I know... I'm sure you have a coolest kid in your family too. But in my world, Paxton is pretty dang awesome! He is the cause for everything I do in life and is usually right by my side.

I work as a 5th grade Reading teacher and I LOVE it!! My classroom is a pretty fun place to be, and we learn a lot. I definitely learn something new everyday. I'm also in school for my master's so I stay busy.

For fun, I like to hang out with really cool people. My philosophy is: it doesn't matter what you're doing, it's who you're doing it with that makes the fun. That is so true! I can literally have fun in a box if I'm with the right person or people.

As you can tell, it doesn't take much to ammuse or entertain me. I think I'm a pretty spontaneous and outgoing person. I've always viewed myself to be open to new ideas and things in life. I love to travel, especially roadtrips with no planned destination. I think those are always definitely the best.

Honesty is always the best policy and I'm a very honest person in everything I do and with everyone I deal with. Even if the truth hurts, it's always important to be honest. I'm outspoken and whether you think that's a good or bad thing, you always know where you stand with me. So, I consider that good. I will never you asking.

So, why am I an almost 27 year old single mother? Well, like I said, I live in a very small town where either I'm related to the good ones or all the good ones are taken. So, it's obvious that I must branch out somehow.

I don't think I really have a "type". I've learned this through a few years of dating various types of men, but there are some things that I would like to see in my better half.

(1) a shared belief of the gospel and the importance of the family unit

(2) a sense of humor and can make me laugh because I may need that sometimes and who will also laugh at my jokes even if they aren't funny because sometimes I need that too

(3) someone who won't tell me no when I bring home a dog from the side of the road because I do this.... a few times a year :)

(4) a love of kids because a kid happens to be the most important person in my life and if a kid running through the house climbing over the back of the couch in a superman suit while carrying a light saber will send you over the edge, you are definitely not for me.
