Nothing makes you feel more joy than seeing your children make good and righteous decisions. Having been a single parent to my son since he was eight, his service as a missionary and his temple sealing to a wonderful young woman is gratifying.
Currently in the process of moving to NW Arkansas from NC, due to recently accepting a senior position in international real estate with a global retailer. Since my father was an officer in the Air Force, I have lived all over the US, but graduated from HS in Texas, attended BYU and the University of Texas Law School.
My mission was served in the Italy North Mission ( Padua, Torino, Brescia, Genova and Bologna) and love Italian food ( both savoring it and preparing it)! I am planning to go to the Rome, Italy temple dedication upon its completion.
Although trained and practiced as an attorney, I have had executive responsibilities over real estate acquisition and development for a retail company until recently. I am now dedicating time to charitable causes, traveling, working on a book, dabbling into some politics and exploring other opportunities.
I enjoy many different activities from running and working out, hiking, playing with grand-kids, scuba diving, cooking, fishing a nice trout stream, working with my horse ( an Arabian), foreign travel, reading mystery novels to attending the theater on Broadway in NY.... and always up for something new. I have an extensive "bucket list" of places to visit and explore and things to yet accomplish and would love doing so with the right person.
I also have three grown daughters who live out West. The Gospel is of paramount importance in my life and I strive to do my best at applying its principles to all aspects of my life...particularly in business dealings, church callings and service to others...but must admit that I still have lots of room to improve and many things to learn.
Important to me is being both learned and ever learning (as to the Gospel and the world around us) , the possession of a compassionate heart that motivates hands to help and lift others, an understanding of the value of apology and forgiveness, and faithful adherence to values, commitments and covenants (though we all fall short from time to time!).
I may be best suited to someone who enjoys life and always up for something new (whether attending Broadway, hiking the wilderness or traveling the globe), is financially stable, loves family, has generally more conservative political leanings ( but respectful of other views), is captivated by nature's grandeur, is playful and humorous, cherishes time together but also values time for oneself, and enjoys the gym and/or running trails.
