My nephew has a knock knock joke he is really proud of, it goes:
Knock, knock--Who's there?--Mary--Mary who?--Marry Aunt Amanda! Pretty clever for a 5 year old! :)
I have a really great family - awesome parents and siblings, and the coolest nieces and nephews around (clearly, hence the knock knock joke!)
I was raised in a family that places a high value on receiving an education. I studied Sociology and Counseling, and now work as a Counselor at a Residential Psychiatric Treatment Center for teenagers. I love the flexibility of Inpatient Counseling because it gives me the opportunity to spend time with my clients and observe their needs on a daily basis. And let's be real, it's pretty great that I'm encouraged to play games, sports, and have fun with my clients...and get paid for it! It feels good to help other people too, which is in my nature. I really enjoy my job because it is constantly helping me become a better person - which I feel we all need.
Lastly, I really love playing sports! I certainly am not a fitness fanatic by any stretch of the imagination. I reserve the right to eat a burger, steak, or ice cream when I please. However, sports have always been my favorite way of being social and also the activities that I am most happy doing. Which goes without saying that I obviously would love to find someone with the same interests. Whether it's playing volleyball, shooting hoops, throwing a football or softball, I love it all the same! My latest obsession is playing Spikeball - which if you don't know what it is, you should look it up!! And if you do know what it is, then I just know we'd get along fabulously!!!! My family does spend a lot of our time together participating in sporty activities and we tend to be quite competitive. I'd love to find a great teammate (literally and figuratively) :) Is that you?!
