My children are grown, my life is full, I am happy. I am ready to share my life with a partner who is open to adventure, loves the journey, strives to live a Gospel centered life, and is committed to frequent laughter.....one who truly believes that "men are that they might have joy."
My friends would describe me as intelligent, open, honest, and supportive. I am healthy and very active. Although I am a professional and self-sufficient, I appreciate chivalrous gestures. I am full of paradoxes and surprises that are yours to discover! Like most of us on this site, I have made my share of mistakes in relationships. My three children whom I love dearly can certainly attest to those mistakes! However, I have learned and grown from these experiences.
I am not looking for perfection in a relationship. All relationships go through trials. The important issue is whether or not people are willing and able to communicate to work through those trials. I do expect optimism regardless of the circumstance. I try to wake every morning with the attitude and a prayer that this is going to be a better day and I am going to be a better person.
I am looking for a partner to rediscover the child that is within all of us. I want to play, be silly and laugh. Although I have a serious side, it is rare that I will turn down an adventure whether flying down a zip line or learning how to drive a team of draft horses. Some adventures are more sedentary such as learning how to make artisan cheese. Included on my bucket list is doing a half marathon in Antarctica, learning to speak German, and participating in a sheep to shawl contest. While I am not drawn to reality shows, I think it would be a kick to do The Amazing Race. Travel is appealing and I am passport ready. Fly fishing, distance road cycling, skiing, sailing, and horseback riding are all on my radar. I am open to learning and participating in a wide range of activities. I find balance to these active pursuits through reading and attendance at artistic events……theater, opera, and ballet. I am deeply committed to my faith. I enjoy service both through my church and the community.
My ideal partner is dedicated to the Gospel, is intellectually curious, verbally and non-verbally communicative, and genuinely kind. A man who would anonymously pay off a needy family’s Christmas layaway or who stops to help a turtle cross the road earns especially high marks. Family will be of the highest importance to him, but he has taken his work seriously so that he would be regarded as a good provider. He has a strong sense of self, can engage in spirited discussions about the scriptures, current events, and is anxious to serve a future mission.
If you are that person who would be equally comfortable in the temple, attending the ballet, backpacking in the wilderness, or spending an afternoon baling hay, let's talk!
