Dating has been a somewhat interesting road for me. I have to believe that it's something more than 2 people who are physically attracted to each other. For me this girl should bring out attributes of myself that I really like. She should spark my creativity in things that we do. I would like her to be the type of girl I would brag about to my friends about how I am with the coolest girl I have ever met. She also should know what she wants and isn't afraid to go after her goals in life. I want a girl who loves the gospel of Jesus Christ and makes me want to be a better man, for her, just because of who she is. I want to want to be a better person for knowing her. I want someone who I am attracted to on many different levels, not just physically, but personality, spirituality, ethics, etc. This is a girl that I can't wait to introduce to my family. Call me a dreamer, a hopeless romantic, or whatever you want, but I believe in being happy and in waiting for the right person to come along.
If I can be a little more specific... I am going to be honest here, so don't crucify me. I take care of myself physically, I try to eat well and do things that will help me to be healthy. I am not attracted to overweight people, I'm sorry, but it's true. I want to go hike a mountain trail and not have to worry about if they can keep up or not. I am very attracted to physically fit people for those reasons, not because I am shallow but because of my active lifestyle. I am very attracted to musically talented girls because it would be a passion that we share. I have a quick wit and find myself drawn to those who also have one and can keep up.
I feel I should also say that I have dated women who have been divorced before and I am not opposed to dating them in the future. It has actually been a fairly positive experience each time. Kids are not an issue either, I am the 2nd oldest of 7 and feel like I get along really great with kids. I'm putting my heart a bit on my sleeve here but I love being around them and helping them learn. I love their passion and enthusiasm for learning and sharing what they know. I honestly can't wait to have my own.
A bit more about me, I have 2 bachelor's degrees. One in business and one in music composition. I am in process of applying for grad school at BYU and hope to start there next fall in conducting. I love to learn and hope that with my advanced degrees I can start teaching at at least the high school if not college level soon.
Lastly, I am looking for choral groups to get involved with and conduct. If you have any suggestions or know of any I can join, please let me know!!
I hope Mrs. Right is out there, and I hope I get to meet her soon. I'm ready to take life on with someone by my side.
