It's difficult to describe myself because there are a lot of aspects to me and I have many passions. I'm conservative yet accepting and genuinely love and strive to love all individuals. I'm outgoing in some situations and quite reserved in others. I love just about everything athletic, including dance (I'm currently taking Middle Eastern Dance classes), but also have a strong passion for music, languages (I have a BA in Chinese), cultures and nature. I love going for long walks and watching thunderstorms; sometimes I like to go for long walks in thunderstorms ;) I am an extremely easy-going person when it comes to my standards for others, but tend to be a bit hard on myself sometimes (I'm still working on it ;))
One of my greatest passions is people; I LOOOOVE people! I love hearing their stories and ambitions and learning how each person came to be their current self with certain ideologies and philosophies about life. I believe that what's most important is a individual's heart and the direction they are currently walking in; one's past is simply a compilation of learning experiences (good and bad, sometimes having positive or negative lasting effects) that help us to know who we truly desire to become in the future, to know which master we truly desire to serve.
When asked by my mother last year what type of person I am "looking for" and desire to marry, I replied, "I want to marry somebody who is a hard-core Christian........who just happens to be LDS". I am an avid listener of Contemporary Christian music, I believe all church callings are created equal (aka. holding one opposed to another does not indicate an added measure of worthiness or spirituality), I believe we are all sinners who are equally in need of the Atonement. I love our Savior, Jesus Christ, and although I am far from perfect, I desire to be with someone who is actively striving to be a better person, whose every day is focused on becoming more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, because I know that living life with this mentality, even striving to become a more pure and kind-hearted child of God, regardless of how well I am able to succeed on a daily basis, is my heart's deepest desire.
Life is too short to allow ourselves to get caught up in the things that don't really matter. Christ is what matters! Striving to be better, to be Christ-like, to serve our fellow men is what matters! =)
