At least once a week, I start humming the Indiana Jones theme under my breath. Not sure why ... it just happens. I get at least two random songs stuck in my head per day.
I love to travel, read and hang out with interesting people. Good conversation and intelligent humor always win me over. Anything can be fun in the right company, and I am an excellent sidekick.
Sometimes I eat french fries just because I'm in the mood for some ketchup. I recently moved close to an In-N-Out and have eaten far too many of their fries. But they're made from real potatoes, so I rationalize that they're somewhat healthy ...
I believe in keeping fit, but I'm not a die-hard workout enthusiast. I recently started jogging but a couple of miles is my current limit. Hiking and swimming in the ocean are probably my favorite outdoor activities. I don't like to risk life and limb for a temporary rush.
I grew up in the military, so I had the chance to move around and experience different places. My favorite countries outside of the U.S. are England and France. Due to a lot of Mormon pioneer inbreeding, my heritage is almost 100% English. I'm a PhD dropout in French Lit.
I'm lucky enough to have a job that lets me live anywhere I choose in the United States. I recently moved to the SLC area from Boston (which I more than loved) to be closer to family and to maybe/hopefully find Mormon guys to date.
I'm a bit of a history nerd. When I lived in Boston, I volunteered as a tour guide. I would give historical walking tours along the Freedom Trail. If you've never heard of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919, google it.
Here's some more (very important) information about me:
Most embarrassing former crush: Kevin Costner in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves"
My Myers-Briggs personality type: ENFP -- which according to the Harry Potter personality quiz, makes me the equivalent of Ron Weasley (proof that I'm an excellent sidekick). I am far more intelligent and clever than Ron though.
Some of my favorite books: "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara, “The Power of Myth” by Joseph Campbell, "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, Bram Stoker's "Dracula", "Nicholas and Alexandra" by Robert K. Massie.
Favorite ice cream: Ben & Jerry's Phish Food
Shameful confession: The Kevin Costner confession was shameful enough.
