I am super friendly and kind. I am also fairly witty and funny. I am an atrocious speller. I would consider myself down to earth but not so much so that I have no personality (because I have plenty of that!) I tend to talk a lot, especially when I am overtired, so be warned (although I am always trying to keep my chattiness in check.) But I am also very interesting (I think...) and educated. And I love learning. I am fairly well read but I try not to intellectualize everything too much. And I am not afraid to abandon some sort of acclaimed thing that everyone is talking about if I think it is boring or I don't understand it. For example... I hated "The Great Gatsby" much to the chagrin of many of my much smarter friends. But I am OK with it. I love laughing and am fully prepared to laugh at myself. I am very much a community person. I am happiest when in the company of good friends and good conversation. When I was younger I liked to be the comedian in the room but I have mellowed as I have grown older. I try to be generous and understanding with others and likewise I am hard to offend. I keep an open mind and try to see the good in people but truly bond with only a few.
My practical life skills are lacking.
(Maybe I should rephrase that...)
Understanding the complexities of taxes and compound interest are a challenge for me :)
But I understand people.
And I love Art.
I am very open minded when it comes to being a Latter Day Saint, and I try to ask many questions and understand as much as I can. But I would not say that my testimony is a standard one. But that does not mean that I do not have a deep one or a strong conviction of the truthfulness of the gospel and the need to live its principles. I do. But I hold tighter to the gospel as I understand it than I do to standard conventions of Mormon thinking (what ever those are to you...)
I guess I should also indicate my dog or cat preference...
