Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out my page!
First off, I'm Jaime. I'm from a suburb of Charleston, South Carolina, but I am currently settling in Las Vegas. I am a teacher, and I love it! I teach elementary school music, so I'm lucky enough to teach not just one, but ALL the classes at my school (partly sarcasm, but mostly true.) I finished college in 2014, and was relocated to Las Vegas to student teach. I taught high school choir for a semester, and had a total blast! So I love it all: big kids, little kids... as long as I'm teaching what I love, the ages of my students doesn't matter to me at all. I'm a kid myself, so I enjoy getting to have a career where I get to have a good time.
As you know already, I'm a musician. I don't know if I could pick between my love of music or my love of the Gospel... both are very precious to me, and make up the majority of who I am. I attended BYU-Idaho and studied vocal music, so you'll always find me singing. I also play the cello, piano and violin, so most of the time, I'm doing one or the other, or two at a time if I'm really feeling it.
I have the best family in the world. I am number three of four kids. I have one brother and two sisters, and they are my favorite people on earth. I'm a proud aunt to an adorable nephew, who currently fills most of the space in my heart. And I have the greatest parents ever.
I'm a big movie nerd, but not usually with the movies that are most popular. I LOVE old black and white movies especially, but I can also be persuaded to take part in a Harry Potter marathon. I enjoy reading and learning all the time. The most challenging part of the school-to-career transition has been that I don't get to spend as much time learning things for myself. I plan to be an eternal student, and always want to be studying or learning something that interests me.
As I said earlier, the Gospel is extremely special to me. I hope that the person I marry has the same love and gratitude for the Gospel. I wouldn't consider myself a "Molly Mormon", but I don't feel like I would enjoy my life if I did things contrary to the Gospel. I love and appreciate the gift I have been given to be raised in it, and I have enjoyed the effects of my decision to be part of it as an adult. I plan to raise my children the same way.
Message me! I'd love to hear from you!
