let's start here. I am sane, safe, smart, savvy, financially and emotionally stable, somewhat sophisticated, appropriately sensuous/sexy, serious/silly and sincere. I am self sufficient. However I believe there is nothing better in life than a male/female relationship where you are really connected to each other and live interdependently.
I am retired now and have had two successful careers. as a clergyman and a stockbroker. I also hosted and managed a television show on the local NBC affiliate. I have a Masters degree and a Doctoral degree in theology. However I am down to earth and think the best wisdom comes from experience and not books. I enjoy thinking through things in depth , but the most important things come from the heart. A kind, grateful, caring, gracious, understanding, hopeful attitude and heart trumps the brain except in technology. I like to think that I have both cognitive and emotional intelligence. In fact, I am smarter than a fifth grader because I can even count to twenty with my shoes on. LOL I think that I am also easy going and can accept people as they are. You don't need degrees to impress me. A loving heart attracts me the most because I believe that only love does, what love does best.
I like to travel. I also love the arts. Someday I hope to graduate from singing in the shower and finger painting. LOL
I am a nature lover and have had rescue dogs. Although I live in the city, part of my property has been certified by the NWF as a wildlife habitat. I was going to knit some scarves for my little finch visitors, but winter came too quickly. lOL
I try to follow a healthy lifestyle, eat carefully and exercise regularly doing Pilates. You'll find me to be fashionable, even if my shoes don't always match my wallet.
Here's a plus. I even tell my GPS the best way to get there without asking for directions. (OK it does make her complain and cry), But I do know how to apologize. In addition, I can make people snicker/laugh despite not being a politician.
The Five things I could never do without
1. My faith is in Jesus Christ. However I respect those who don't always agree with me or are of a different persuasion, as I am eclectic in my spirituality. I have a firm faith, and my faith is not a collection of cliche's. I am not a Bible thumper as I respect the Bible too much to use it as a hammer.
2 I want those around me who are openminded (not empty headed), kind and happy.
3. Friends and family
4. Peace in my home, etc.
5. Travel. I have a great travel idea to share
