A little about me...
THANKS for dropping by. I cherish each day and the physical, financial, social, emotional, mental, and spiritual HEALTH that allow me to be med-free and enjoy life's abundance. I am passionate about the here and now. I appreciate what is...and look forward with anticipation to what is to come.
I Graduated from Sherman Oaks Elementary CA, Meridian High ID, BYU, Oregon State U, and the U of Idaho. I've also lived in Morton WA, Nampa ID, and E. Idaho.
I recently retired from serving as special services director for a small charter school. Previously I've served as a school psych/counselor, junior high math teacher, and seminary teacher. I enjoy counseling, working with BYU-ID interns, and serving the developmentally disabled. I am licensed as a counselor, marriage and family therapist, and real estate broker. I relish teaching and presenting, especially the Gordon Model. I thrive on the daily challenges of achieving worthwhile GOALS and WIN-WIN problem solving.
I am blessed with 2 lovely DAUGHTERS and 4 awesome GRANDCHILDREN. My Den of Friendly Men includes myself and 5 other guys that rent out rooms in my home.
How I feel about the Church...
Precious is my TESTIMONY of Jesus Christ, His atonement, and His Church. I cherish the counsel of prophets and opportunities to feast on their words. I enjoy serving others.
I am grateful for the power of FAITH, HOPE, and CHARITY in blessing my life with daily miracles. Dear to me is President Monson's repeated advice to, "Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."
I sing in our regional single adult choir, serve as a ward family history consultant and public affairs representative, and volunteer 2 days/week at the Idaho Falls Family History Center. Especially choice of my previously callings--including service in bishoprics, stake single adult rep, young men’s, Sunday school, high priests, and ward missions--was teaching the CTR-8s. Living near a temple I am able to attend often. I delight in hearing great missionary experiences and spending time with my family.
What I do for fun...
A favorite play is Les Miserables. Favorite movies include The Sound of Music, Dead Poet Society, and What About Bob. My favorite vocal group is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I thrive on VARIETY and adventure.
I relish prayer, HIKING, good music, waterfalls, theater, smelling roses, TRAVEL, sunsets, the UNGAME, the full moon, R.O.P.E.s., and a host of other outdoor and indoor activities.
My bucket list includes establishing the U of C'n Do, spending time at Church History sites and temples throughout the world, hiking beautiful mountains, getting acquainted with you, being equally yoked to an angelic lady, and serving MISSIONS together.
I'm not anchored to my current location, and am willing to travel, or relocate to get better acquainted with the right lady. If you are an OPTIMIST and would a like to engage in a brief phone visit drop me a line. I wish you joy, adventure, and success in finding and pursuing that special guy.
P.S. I'd enjoy hiking Mt. Timpanogos again soon or some other comparable hike. Let me know if you'd like to join me. –Paul
