Hi, I'm Aleesa. I teach English as a second language, I'm a writer and I love travelling and learning. Some of the things I think are cool are striped socks, foggy evenings, rickety old wooden roller coasters and finding grapes that have the perfect firmness.
I have backpacked through a pile of countries in Europe and worked abroad in Korea and Italy. I like delicious cheap food at diners but also enjoy trying to cook exotic dishes. I like going to the opera, but I'm also into hockey (I have to be - I'm Canadian). I love Bach and Beethoven, but can't live without great funk either.
I have a degree in music (classical piano), which has opened up countless opportunities such as legal secretary, double-decker tour bus guide and ice cream scooper. Once, I also played the piano at a crazy Mexican couple’s dinner party, where they tied a bib around my neck and spoon-fed me soup.
I dream of learning to speak Arabic, having a huge personal library (ideally with staircase ladders and green reading lamps) and sharing the fridge with someone, someday.
