Hello, my name is Troy and I am from Oregon originally but moved to San Antonio, Texas three years ago for medical and graduate school-MD and Masters in Public Health. I am happy to start having more fun now that the more difficult years of school are behind me. I am on this site as evidence that I am trying to make a better effort to date and meet people (now that I don't have much of an excuse:)). I am always up to chat and hope to meet some intelligent and independent women.

I am adding this paragraph to hopefully make it easier for you ladies to decide whether to contact me or not. First, you may be fun and cute but if you are under 22 then it is not going to happen. To be blunt, I want to date a woman that knows what she wants, is an independent thinker, and respects the demands of a professional life. You don't have to have an advanced degree but I find them very attractive, not an intimidation. It just seems easier to tell you now so you know you can expect the same from me.

So to lighter topics...I went to Honduras for my mission and love Mexican food. San Antonio has been awesome for a great combination of Texas charm, great food and a rigorous education. It is not likely I will be in Texas for residency so if you Texas girls are bent on staying you might think twice about me:)

A little more about me: I played soccer and baseball in high school but only get to the gym these days. I am a Type-A personality that tends to work and play hard. My friends and family say I have a pretty dry, just "slightly" sarcastic, sense of humor. If you love that then we can have some fun. If you have difficulty following dry humor then maybe it's not meant to be:).

I love the gospel and its insights that guide my life and career goals and hope to find that special someone to share life's journey. My plan is to become an academic family medicine physician working with underserved populations with a focus on the Latino community. I am working to live a full and satisfying life by giving back what the Lord has blessed me with while helping others see the beauty of genuine service.
