I love to be around people who are taking risks and learning new things. I also love being with people who make me laugh. I am currently learning Spanish and planning a volunteer trip to teach poetry in Kenya this spring. I teach writing at the community college and write books for Deseret Book.

My kids are 8 and 10 and we love hiking, camping, playing music, and laughing together. I love to cook and eat fantastic food. My kids are my favorite people to spend time with.

I'm always up for trying something new. I feel like this world is filled with incredible people and places and I love exploring it.

The gospel is the center of my life. I did a study abroad to Jerusalem through BYU and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. My parents are serving a mission right now (in Trinidad) and I can't wait to serve one too.
