Thanks for shopping by…. Err...stopping by my profile!!
I find this part to be a little difficult, since how does one sell themselves, without sounding boring or cocky? How does one recognize the fine line between these two? That is where you, the viewer, can make the judgement call!
I was born and raised in the church, yet found the pleasures of the world too appealing and fell away. I have been inactive for almost half my life, and in the past two months started going back to church, with some struggles still, and learning more of the Gospel. I have realized that Heavenly Father has preserved my life several times, and I am now curious as to the “why”?
This process of seeking the knowledge of the Gospel has been wonderful, yet it has been mixed with frustration and loneliness. Since this choice of mine has greatly impacted my social circle of friends that don’t understand my desire to rebuild a broken relationship with God.
I know this might sound a little cliché, but I do enjoy the outdoors. I do enjoy a wonderful summer day walking in a park or on a beach or along a river. I do enjoy spending time hiking and mountaineering in the Canadian Rockies. For these mountains provided me, for some many years, a sense of spirituality that I needed when I was inactive.
I like rock climbing, caving, camping and hiking. I have been known to go on week long backpacking trips by myself (longest solo trip was 102Km/63.4 Miles). However, I do enjoy the company of camping with friends as well. Aside from being in the mountains, I can be found during the summer months, flying my body through the sky.
I consider myself to be a book worm. I try to achieve a 3 book a month policy. Which some months I easily do and other months I fail. However, this doesn’t stop me from the excitement of gaining new knowledge. I love to read about world history that formed the world we live in now. Though I do have some favourite fictional authors I will also like to read.
Humour is a large part of who I am. I was raised in a household where humour and laughter was always present. I am sarcastic and have been told I have a slightly dry British wit.
I do enjoy a relaxing evening vegged out watching movies and eating potato chips... Sour Cream & Onion is my favourite!!
