It's hard to know what to say. I was born on a farm in Kansas, and have pretty much spent my whole life here. I have spent summers in Florida, New Hampshire, Oregon, Idaho, and about 11 years of 2-3 week summer vacations in Utah (with relatives). Since joining the Church in 1975, I have always been very active. Even though a long way from temples, I have attended the temple many, many times. I was married for 16 years; my husband lost his battle with life at age 45 because of a congenital heart condition. At the time he was born doctors didn't know how to correct his defect; with babies born today they can repair it at the time of birth.
I taught school for 41 years; 37 in the same town. I taught physical education and coached. After 28 years, I went back to school and got my library degree. I then spent the last 13 years as our high school librarian. I have been active in sports all my life and still enjoy some, as well as watching on tv. I try to walk everyday and also do a weight routine at the gym three times a week. I still love being outdoors, and enjoy doing yard work, flowers, and gardening. I have been retired 6 years. The first 3 years after retiring I helped my mother before she passed away at age 96. I recently have had the opportunity to do some traveling and have enjoyed that very much.
I'm not sure why I continue on this site. It is a pretty hard way to get to know someone. My life has been wonderful, and still is. I would be fine going to the end of my days alone; but I know it would be a great blessing to find someone with whom I am compatible and could continue to share life's fun times. The greatest thing to share, of course, is the gospel. It would be wonderful to serve a mission, or just share in the Church together. Whatever happens yet in my earthly, mortal journey, I know my Heavenly Father and Savior are with me every step of the way. I trust them, and trust in them. If you would like to explore whether we might be compatible, I'd love to hear from you.
