There is a humorous dichotomy between the bravery we exhibit in “putting ourselves out there” in front of all the single strangers of the opposite gender on this site – hoping to be seen as the best version of ourselves by the one we might want – and the quickness with which we disqualify those who approach us. After months on this site, and a lot of constructive feedback, I will not say I myself have been any less guilty of thinking that “Miss Right” would be easy to identify. My point is, I would like to ask you to suspend whatever negative assumptions you may have about me, but I can only do so if I am willing to take my own advice. (And so I will).
What I’d like to say about myself is that I love the Lord, and consider myself to be his steward. I have been single for a protracted length of time, not because I was at any point wayward or deaf to the voice of the Spirit, but because Heavenly Father, as clearly discussed in my patriarchal blessing, orchestrated events in my life that are unique, fascinating, and nothing short of miraculous. Everything that has transpired has done so exactly as it was supposed to… and it’s a story worth hearing. In fact, if you are “you,” I believe you will see that it’s a story worth being a PART OF.
Before you decide that I’m too old, too ugly, too far from your hometown, or anything else, I would ask that you prayerful consider chatting with (span style="font-weight:bold;")me, and evaluating my interests and future goals in light of your own.
