ALOHA! My name is Bennette and although I was born somewhere else, I have lived in Hawaii for more than thirty years and consider it my home. I am active in church, a regular temple goer and have a strong relationship with the Savior.
I was married for 27 years to a non-member and have been separated/divorced for more than six years. I have two children: my son is in Washington DC and my daughter recently came home after going to school in New York. She now works for the state legislature.
I have had an interesting career. I started as a television reporter, then spent 17 years in banking culminating in a role as Senior Vice President in Corporate Banking, and for the past eight years, owned a consulting business focused on government relations and community outreach. I am also the managing editor of an ethnic community paper in Hawaii.
Service and giving back is an important part of who I am. I am active in the community and sit on a number of Non-profit boards in my state. I do a lot of volunteer work.
I always try to have a positive outlook in life. I love to have fun... to have joy in my life! I love to travel, read, watch movies and spend time with the family. I am fiercely loyal, a loving mom and a great friend.
I am interested in developing friendships with people of like interests.
