Although my status is "widow", I was never sealed to my husband. Had he survived, we would have been divorced so I have not proceeded with the sealing ordinances. Ultimately, I am seeking a temple marriage.
I am upbeat and like to surround myself with others of the same tenor. I enjoy spending time with my son. I am an active member of the church and currently called as a Relief Society teacher and visiting teacher. I am well educated and enjoy intelligent banter. I am a convert, as is my youngest son, and there are no other members in my family.
I have a strong music background - attended private schools for music including instrumental and voice. I have participated in public theater and some stand-up comedy (YEARS AGO), though seems there just isn't enough time to do much of that sort of thing anymore. (I really would not be interested in doing stand-up again anyway.) When I was little I wanted to grow up to be another Lucille Ball... but they don't do TV like that anymore! I once arranged for an in-service with fellow teachers entitled "Teaching as a Theater Art". I can be a bit of a cut-up at times, life should be fun. My son is fond of quoting: "Men are that they might have joy."
I currently participate in a choir group and an on-going "musical" called "Job" (meaning the man Job from the bible) for charity.
I have a few, 3, college degrees in 2 different fields and actually do something related to my degrees - you'll have to ask. Let's just say I am mathematically inclined. I taught college for 10 years prior to my current position and I miss it.
The gospel is the most important thing in my life. It is beyond my ability to express how I feel about our Savior, about the church and the scriptures. I study the scriptures every day and typically that means getting up an hour ahead so that I can have that time. I know the Church is true and Jesus Christ is the center of my life.
