I was born in Benin, moved to France as a baby and lived there for a couple of years. I returned to Benin and moved to Ghana when I was 15 years old. I joined the church shortly thereafter and moved to the United States more than 10 years later.
While living in Ghana, I traveled across West Africa. I worked with a nonprofit that helped farmers and traders increase their income. I love writing and enjoy digital photography. Last year, I published a book which discusses socioeconomic issues in Africa. I am idealistic, philosophical, realistic, faithful, and loyal. I love to travel and love soccer. I plan to visit Brazil during the 2014 world cup. In the near future I will start a PhD in Mass Communications.
My friends say I have my head screwed on straight. I tend to be a very slow decision maker but once I make up my mind, I have been known to doggedly pursue an objective. I am usually the last one to give up. I enjoy live bands. When I am at a concert, I like to identify which band member is playing a particular sound. I like to decompose the music and tend to get absorbed by this process to the mild annoyance or amusement of my friends.
When I meet a new person, I take my time to get to know them. I enjoy having long conversations about anything and everything. I do not shy away from controversial topics such as politics or religion but discuss these topics only with people who are interested in these conversations. When I travel, I like to immerse myself in the culture through food, music, architecture, and people watching. Sometimes, when I go for runs, I get lost in contemplation of nature. The sun has set on me at least once on such runs.
My favorite scripture is Proverbs 9:10. I am looking for someone who has a testimony of the Savior, is confident, fun, educated, and loves to travel. Let's chat soon. :)
