ok, after reading a lot of profiles around here i've been seeing a lot of the same things and i think we need to establish a few givens, kind of like how "wheel of fortune" automatically gives you r,s,t,l,n,e for the final round, because that's what everyone's going to say, anyway.

so, we can all agree that we all:

1. love to laugh

2. love to travel and wish we could do more

3.. are totally up for anything and yet are also totally cool with just doing nothing at all.

apart from that, tell me about yourself? what makes you different from everyone else who's also just like that?

as for me,

i'm new to texas and still getting used to texans. i was in utah for ten years, despite vowing i would just be there for my four years at byu. i'm originally from northern minnesota and will always love it.

i've ridden an elephant in the jungles of thailand, eaten waffles in belgium, been to japan thrice, shot a movie in hawaii, spent a day in seoul not knowing a word of korean, and have been in both the pacific and atlantic oceans.

i did my undergrad in film making and am now getting a masters in computer animation. the work isn't quite as exciting but this is better for personal and family life.

i'm a fan of international and art films but try not to be too snooty towards the summer blockbusters. i can dance if you're patient with me but really get in to karaoke. i don't play video games but have a blast on rock band with a group of friends.

i eat my vegetables and sometimes floss, too.

as much as the opportunity arrises, i love to go snowboarding. the black diamonds are the most fun, but i think i taught eight different friends how to ride last winter.

i do my hometeaching and have had a lot of different callings at church, but my favorite is teaching gospel doctrine. that makes me the happiest man in the church.

i prefer cats to dogs but hold no stern prejudices.

and dark chocolate is awesome.
