I am practical, independent, and usually calm and grounded. I am warm, affectionate and loving without being clingy. I am not a drama queen or high maintenance. I am more classic than trendy, realistic, intelligent but able to be goofy, self-confident and attractive but not conceited, and feminine without being prissy. Kind, loving, accepting, strong, and resilient are some of my other traits. I treasure life, my family and my friends, and love conversation, music, dancing, reading, movies, and family history research. I have always loved to dance. I am open to new experiences or ones I haven't tried for a while. I have not dated much as it was essential to me to raise my kids with the least possible amount of drama or confusion. I have lived in Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Utah (where my mother still lives), Oregon and Colorado (Grand Junction as well as the Front Range). I have been divorced since 2000. I made peace with my former spouse and fully appreciate the best from that relationship - my three amazing grown children. My experiences have taught me that devoted, active friendship, service, the willingness to forgive, trust, compromise and open, honest joint communication (even when you don't agree) are absolutely crucial to successful, ongoing relationships. I appreciate irony but am rarely contentious or sarcastic. Notice I did not say never! Every person has his/her own opinion about each of the possible body type selections. I am definitely curvy. I have extra pounds (encourage me to keep working them off!). I am a non-smoker and don't do drugs. I understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and am working toward that.
I'm not here to send countless emails back and forth, nor am I looking for pen pals. I’m looking for a life partner with whom I truly have a great connection. A strong friendship as well as chemistry and passion are important. The kind of partner you constantly hold hands with and kiss because the attraction is genuine and magnetic. Good communication, mutual respect, and compassion are a must. And without a doubt, compatibility and similar priorities are critical for developing a long and mutually fulfilling relationship. Please have posted a recent photo, and smile, guys!
I went through a very difficult time dealing - successfully - with a 2009-10 cancer diagnosis and treatment. I'm taking better care of myself and becoming healthier than I've been for a long time. I know without doubt that Heavenly Father loves and blesses me beyond measure and His spirit was with me throughout these experiences.
