Hello! About me... Well, I'm a southern girl through and through (with the accent to prove it) and I'm pretty laid back and fun-loving. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, whether it's just hanging out, playing games, taking trips...whatever. I'm a total music junky, a lover of movies and movie trivia, a big time bookworm, and a huge Tarheels basketball fan. I've got a great sense of humor (if I do say so myself!) and love to laugh and make others laugh. I'm adventurous and I love to travel, and although I've only been outside of the U.S. once, I'd love the opportunity to see more of the world.
I've recently lost quite a bit of weight and live a fairly healthy lifestyle. That being said, I am not a total work-out junky and to be honest, I'm a bit intimidated by those who are. I've been athletic most of my life (softball & basketball are my favorites) and I'd rather get my exercise in through playing rather than hitting the gym, although I'm not opposed to going to the gym when it's needed.
I'm the middle child of five kids and I've actually always loved being "stuck" in the middle. I was able to experience the best of both worlds, being the tomboy with my brothers and a girly girl with my sisters. My dad would say that I'm game for anything, a great travel buddy, and person you can always depend on. My mom, bless her, would say I'm a keeper. ;)
My family has been through some pretty major hard times. My brother passed away seven years ago and my sweet, amazing mother passed away not quite three years ago. I'm explaining this here not because these topics are open invitations for light conversation (although I'm not opposed to talking about them with people I know), but because these experiences have created growth in me that seems hard to describe without others knowing it. I truly know the value of each moment we're able to spend with our loved ones and how important it is to live in such a way that we can be reunited with them when our work is done. I was born and raised in the Church and it's the center point of my life. The blessings of eternal families have always been a huge factor in my life and I try to live each day so I that I can be worthy of those and all of the blessings my Heavenly Father can send my way.
