I read the most honest greeting today. There was no pie in the sky wishes. It was down to earth and completely truthful. I would love to say I met her and she is everything she wrote, but that is up to Father and I trust His judgment far more than my own.
I am a simple man of simple means, for whom Father has always provided sufficiently for my needs. I like to try new things. Will I like them, maybe, maybe not, but I will never know if I don't try them.
I like to sit on a beach, lay on the grass and look for shapes in the clouds, or count satellites and shooting stars. I would rather attend the temple or go on a mission than go on a cruise, but a cruise would be fun too some day. The lord is first in my life and the closer I live to a temple the happier I am.
I have 6 children, 3 came into my life after they were born. We may not always agree with their choices, but we will always worry about them, care for them and love them much as our Father loves us.
It is said that some lives are linked across time connected by an ancient calling that echoes though the ages. (Prince of Persia) I still believe in eternity and happily ever after. I am a romantic at heart, just have a tough time figuring out how to be romantic.
I know you would all love to have the spirituality of President Hinckley, the humor of President Monson and the body of Brad Pitt... Good luck with that. :) Perhaps I will be perfect one day, but it can't be done alone. Perfection requires two.
I believe that people start out as friends and this is a good place to start. I am not in a rush and I hope you are not in a hurry too, and who knows what the future holds for us.
There is much in this life that I enjoy and I would love to find more things to enjoy with the right person.
One last thing - If you are the kind of person who is willing to kneel in prayer with me each night, send me a note and let's talk. By the way, I hope to go on a mission when I retire in a few years... Are you ready for that too?
