I am a quiet until you get to know me kind of lady. I am a Mom to three fabulous children: one girl and two boys. They mean the world to me and I am pretty confident that they feel the same about me. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love being out in nature. I enjoy listening to live music, going to the movies/live theater. I'm also OK with staying at home too. I love to laugh and be silly: car dancing is my favorite much to the horror of my children. When a good tune comes on the radio/CD, I'm also a pretty good steering wheel drummer. I like to show affection to those that I love. I have been known to chase my sons through the house for a kiss. If I happen to chase you, please don't run too fast. I love to give and receive back rubs (steam rollers are the best!) and just plain cuddle. I always, always, always look up at the stars at night and take joy in the simple things of life. Thanks to working with special needs preschoolers I get to play all day. I love to look at the color of rocks in water, jump in puddles and stand outside when it's snowing and catch snowflakes on my tongue. I have even been known to rescue worms that are stranded on the sidewalk.

Someday I want to: go on a church history tour, ride in a hot air balloon, do a flip of a home, serve a couples mission and to be some gentleman's "darlin, sweetheart or hon" (pick one!).

I like to travel. Being a teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach in New Zealand and in an Arctic community called Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. I think I prefer land travel over flying because, I like to see the country side and take those unplanned side trips that take you to marvelous sites. My children and I went on holidays one year and what was to be a 5 hour trip to our destination took us 8 1/2 as we stopped to hike on a glacier and find a waterfall. I have also discovered that I prefer to be the passenger to being the driver. Many times I want to take in more than just a quick glance. Having said that, if you have a destination in mind that requires flying AND you are in need of a traveling companion I won't object too hard.

I would like to find a man who has his own sense of self worth and does not need to get it from others or things. A man who wants to show me and my children what a righteous and committed priesthood holder can do. A man who values me for who I am in all my quirky splendedness. Someone who knows that I make his life delicious. Let me explain. Imagine you are a chocolate cake (or my favorite cherry chip, yum!). You probably taste good and people would enjoy partaking of you. Now along I come as the whipped icing, sprinkles and sparklers and voila, you are delicious!. You are full, you are smiling and patting you're tummy. Even when life beats at you if you can still feel full from love/gratitude, then you are truly blessed. I want someone who truly gets excited for the accomplishment of his family even if they fall a little short. I know that as men, you're first instinct is to "fix it". I'm not saying, please don't ever offer, just recognize that sometimes the best "fix it" is just to be a soft place to land.

For some of you who are reading my profile, we may live far away from each other. That doesn't bother me. Distance is the chance for new adventures/experiences and besides with Internet and skyping, or the old fashioned phone call, great things can happen. I'm open to pretty much any type of relationship so long as it is a healthy and positive one. Ultimately I would like to find an eternal companion who has a personal relationship with his Father in Heaven. A man who is confident in his beliefs but not arrogant in them. A man who wants to go hand in hand into a bright future beyond this earthly existence.

I am a convert to the church. I love the gospel. I have a strong testimony that my Heavenly Father is mindful of me and loves me unconditionally. Though I have been neglectful of my testimony at times, I always go back to my first experience of feeling the Holy Ghost and knowing that I was not alone. This may not make sense but that experience is in my bones. (Mor 10:3-5) The temple is important to me and my family.We are so looking forward to our new temple opening up Oct 2012.
