I moved to Texas in Jan 2008 after retiring from NM Corrections (probation parole officer); I'm very laid back, have a goofy sense of humor, & look for the positive in situations; pet peeve is rudeness; I like to read, work crossword puzzles, play board games; TV is okay but mostly for sports & game shows - drama shows not so much; I'm very into WWII history & related movies; also like scifi & action/adventure movies; I work parttime with the Rangers ballpark during the baseball season - because I love sports & the job - the only downer is not getting to watch the games while I'm at the ballpark working - so I usually record the game & watch it later after I get home!

Not sure what I'm looking for on the dating scene - I think it would be fun to have someone to chat with, get together for dinner, maybe a movie or watch a game (football, baseball, hockey, basketball - they're all okay), or maybe play board games (scrabble, trivial pursuit, phase 10, etc); just going for a walk, bike ride or feeding the ducks at the park would be fun as well . . . . . . . get to know one another & see how things go from there.
