People are what is most important to me. The way I see it, the first and second greatest commandments have it covered. I am devoted to my people.
Laughter, gratitude, and a proactive approach are values I strive to incorporate in my daily life. I'm warm, caring, and a friend to those around me. I see life for its possibilities and face challenges as they come. I'm learning to view life as Elder Wirthlin's mother taught, "Come what may and love it." That can be a big job. But, it feels wonderful to trust Heavenly Father that much!
As far as things I enjoy, the list would most definitely include hiking, driving in the mountains, reading out loud for story time, being spontaneous and creative, singing (even in public--poor, embarrassed children), dancing, and playing Settlers of Catan.
I love hosting friends and family, stuffing more people than should technically fit around my table. I love the mayhem and madcap adventure that often ensues. Of course, if I don't get my alone time, then the introvert in me cries out for it. Fun in small groups is my happy medium.
Don't enjoy anchovies and most dental visits.
What am I looking for? My best friend, a person with whom it is truly worth sharing this precious life. A person who shares my vision. It is the inner qualities that matter most to me.
Thanks for stopping by!
