"Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much."

I was reading an article/blog the other day about how "pretty" was disappearing and being replaced by "hot". In this article the author defined pretty "as a mutually enriching balanced combination of beauty and projected innocence."

He goes on to say "generally when men see this combination in women it brings out their better qualities, their best in fact. That special combination of beauty and innocence, the pretty inspires men to protect and defend it." I want to be pretty in this sense. I want someone who has the desire to bring their best and protect me. Thats not to say I can't take care of myself, but it would be nice to have someone else want to.

I decided to switch up the greeting here in my spare time . . . you know the time between dishes, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, childcare, sleeping, working, and church activity. I used to have a blog like greeting but it got too lengthy so you all get to enjoy this shorter and hopefully just as entertaining new introduction.

I am 31 with a 6yr old, a dog and a cat. I was widowed at 26 so for the last 4 yrs it has just been my daughter and I. We are a pretty good team, but she sometimes has issues with me dating.

I have been on this site on and off for the last few years. In that time I have met a number of people and had my heart hurt a few times, but I'm a tough cookie and have kept at it. That's not to say that I am in any hurry to get married, but I'm not going to run should the right person come along. One of the things I like is getting to know people and hearing their stories. Everyone has such a different perspective on life based on their past and how they were raised.
