Hi, I'm Katie. I am a special education teacher. I currently teach students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities that are in Kindergarten - 5th grade. I absolutely love being around and teaching children with disabilities. They are so much fun to be around and have such funny and unique personalities!
I served a mission in Hawaii. I loved my mission! It was one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. I grew in my testimony of the gospel and my reliance upon my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
I am very close to my family. I am the oldest of three—one sister and one brother. We get along so well and love to spend time together. I am also very close to my grandpa and I love him to pieces.
I have a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is a huge part of my life. I really don’t know where I would be without my testimony and knowledge of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the knowledge that I have about the plan of salvation and that families can be together forever. My testimony has helped me to go outside of my comfort zone to serve people around me. I am currently serving as a Primary teacher for the 4-year-olds. It is my favorite calling! Each Sunday the kids say the funniest things.
People who know me would say that I have a sense of humor and that I love to have fun. I am shy in some social situations and prefer to be an observer instead of a participant. I am easy to get to know, just ask me questions and I will answer. I am also easy going and like going with the flow. Things just work out better that way! I enjoy reading, listening to music, dancing, playing card games, and swimming (especially since it is so hot in St. George). I value patience, honesty, and kindness as important qualities.
