There is only so much you can say via text...so much of what we communicate in my opinion is non-verbal...
I guess I am a bit of a generalist...I genuinely enjoy reading up and learning about so many different things. One of my biggest frustrations is in the understanding that we simply will not learn everything in this life. There just simply isn't enough time.
So we must choose...what we will study and invest our time in...our most precious resource since we do not know how much longer we have.
I have a new found appreciation for personal fitness. I am still on the heavy side but I have already lost over 100+ pounds. I understand now that personal fitness allows us to not only be healthier and live longer but enjoy the time we have more.
I am currently going through a divorce so in many ways I am hoping to be friends first and foremost. I truly would like to get to know someone awhile and hopefully things could grow into a longer term relationship. I have two beautiful daughters who are my world but I am also blessed with two step children who I love dearly and try hard to be a positive example in their life.
I am a bit of an intellectual (I think way too much!) but to me there is nothing better than to sit down and have a good conversation...not just the superficial ones that all of us have everyday...but the kind that remind you that you are deeply valued and connected to someone.
Despite this, I am a passionate man who appreciates the simple caress of a person's hand or the hug from a caring friend.
My testimony of the gospel is growing day by day. I read the scriptures daily and try to be the best person I can. I have a deep love for the church. I am a convert and I am trying to find my way in it as a divorced man and father. The church is very logical to me...it is part of why I am so attracted to it, but there is also something deeper there...I suppose that is why I study so much doctrine and history!
I want to have a deep personal, spiritual relationship with someone...but if nothing else I hope to be a good friend.
My goal in life is to truly and absolutely love someone the first time I meet them. I truly desire to build up the kingdom of Zion, for if you truly love me and I truly love you even if we don't like each other but we love each other and serve one another, the world will change.
Thank You for reading, and I wish you and yours all the very best,
