I'm a recently divorced father of four. If you're still reading after that first sentence...I am extremely laid back and am often described as "even keeled." I'm also frequently told that I have a great, but extremely dry, sense of humor.

I personally think that I'm a lot of fun to hang out with, but my opinion is admittedly biased. I have a wide variety of interests and enjoy learning new things. I am equally content going hiking or sitting at home with a good book (particularly non-fiction or historical fiction). I love watching movies as well as various outdoor activities. I'm currently learning gunsmithing and enjoy spending time at the range. By far my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my kids. They're the center of my world and I would do anything for them.

I'm originally from Indiana and have lived all over during my time in the military. I've lived in California, Texas, the DC area, Pennsylvania and I've finally ended up in Charlottesville. I've also done my fair share of international travel, but with the exception of Korea, not usually places people want to visit (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kuwait, etc.) I have been to Europe, but haven't seen much outside of the airports.

After I got out of the army, I was a defense contractor for a few years before ending up back with the army, but as a civilian this time. My job is interesting and always challenging, but I enjoy it.

Anyway I've prattled on about myself for long enough. This is my first attempt at an online dating site and I'm just giving it a shot and seeing how things turn out.
