I am often described as being driven and full of energy, and I think that is true. I truly believe that we make our own destiny, and that there are amazing things for us, if we go seek them. My family's motto is "Where there is a will there is a way," and that has been a driving force in my life. At the same time, I love to play (I think I'd be so much more productive if this wasn't true). I tend to be a person that is "in the moment," and I seek recreation as much as possible.
I grew up in Colorado, and just moved back six months ago (after being in Utah and California since I was 18). Being new to Colorado, I'm still making friends and trying to figure out how to meet people out here. This is my first time putting a profile online--so I have no idea what to expect.
I went to BYU three (yes, three) times. A little ridiculous, but I don't regret it at all. I have an undergraduate degree in Marketing, a graduate degree in Communications, and an MBA in Marketing. I currently work in brand management, specifically on Innovation for the Silk brand (think Silk soy or almond milk). I'm loving my job, and I really like marketing--so fun.
The Church is everything to me. I have a strong testimony of the restored gospel and of Jesus Christ. I was born in the church. I come from an active family, and I've always been active and highly involved in the church. I really do believe that we are on this earth to grow to be like our Heavenly Father. I approach my life with this at the core, and hopefully I'm doing a little better each day.
I love adventure and the outdoors. Combining the two together is my favorite. I really like cycling. I got into it a few years ago, and I just signed up for my first century ride in August. I'm not that good yet, but I plan to be that good by race day :). I also really enjoy white water rafting--my dad and I took a trip down Cataract Canyon last year, and it was a blast. I like camping, cross country skiing, climbing, etc. I'm not an extreme sports person--I'm not your hard core cyclist or climber. I just really like it and seek day adventures as much as possible.
I love to travel and have had a lot of opportunity to do so. I try to get out of the country at least once a year--still working on it for this year.
I also really enjoy cooking, though I admittedly don't do much of it currently. I took a 12 week cooking course last year and LOVED it. I've been looking into going to cooking school--just for fun and learning (not for a job).
Lastly, I'm extroverted, so I really just like being around people and making new friends. Spending time with friends it definitely my idea of having fun.
