Hey there! I'm Melissa. I enjoy flying kites in the spring, gardening in the summer, bike rides in the fall, and board games all year round. I'm a bit of a bookworm and a news junkie and a brand-new Beehive teacher--I can't wait to get started!
I've lived in Russia and the Netherlands and Belgium and Utah and I've come to love learning about other countries and cultures. I'm a wannabe polyglot and I hope to travel more in the future. I think Montreal is going to be my next destination. In the meantime, I'm an avid armchair world explorer. Where would you go first?
Someday I want to learn French. And Photoshop. And how to make my own clothes. And a million other things. Lucky for me, I have a GREAT job that gives me the opportunity to learn just about anything I want.
The gospel has always been an important part of how I live my life and of my plans for the future. I was blessed with Goodly Parents and they and now my siblings are great examples of the kind of family life I hope to have someday: hardworking, faithful, strong in the gospel and the Church, and FUN!
One of the things I love about living in the South is how willing people are to talk freely about their faith and love for the Savior. Where else in the country will people wish you "Have a blessed day!" at the checkout stand? So, to borrow a local phrase--have a blessed day!
