hi! my name is Mat. yes, just one T. it's 25% lighter and easier to pronounce that way. hahaha! i am in my prime, right now!!! my humor is seriously ready for open mic night, i have a strong testimony, i am emotionally available and really truly want a best friend... sooo, seriously, bring it!
i consider myself an intelligent and spiritually inclined normal guy next door. i go to church always, spend a lot of time with my youngest daughter (older kids are married and moved away), and like doing and learning kewl things. i like to think of myself as being tough as nails and having a heart of gold. yes, that is probably a bit of a stretch, but it is my goal to be remembered that way.
i'm looking for THE ONE. i know that sounds kinda dumb, but dangit, i think that there is someone for everyone. the trick is to find that person. for me, that person is intelligent (educated), motherly (for my daughter, not me), a professional, a faithful church goer, an adventurer, and a great communicator... oh, and pretty... oh, and a little dangerous too. =)
i've been accused of being a great communicator, and i am often too danged honest for my own good. i'm also quite the comedian as i like to keep the people around me smiling and on their toes. but that doesn't mean that i cannot be serious.
i like music, movies, anything automotive/motorcycle related, being active, and some sports. i dislike tv, laying out at the beach, working out, and disorganization. i prefer kids to pets, politics to pop culture, and talking things out to yelling out frustrations. i hate being lied to, specially those stupid white lies. i also hate liberals, but many of friends are so i bite my tongue. hahaha!
my life is in order. the bills get paid on time, my credit is good, i have one emergency credit card, my house is clean and tidy, my priesthood worthiness is second to none... what else? i've conquered many obstacles and foes in my life and have the battle scars to prove it. i'm on more or less friendly terms with every significant other and former girlfriend all the way back to high school... yes, there was some apologizing necessary on my part, but i now count those women as friends.
what else can i say? i'd really rather get to know someone over a smoothie than trying to strike up a conversation via email/text message. just know that my personality is better observed in person than through a computer monitor.
don't be shy, send me some smiles, and have a great day!!!
