I am healthy, warmhearted, patient, giving, and love to laugh and have a good time. I am easy-going and try to look on the positive side and count my blessings daily.
I am a convert to the Church and have a strong testimony of the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I've been a member for over 17 years now.
Though I love to laugh, there is a more serious side to me, too. I, like most, have had times in my life when things were not going as desired. God has helped me through those rough times in my life, and for that I am truly grateful. I realize that these are times where He has allowed me to grow and learn and become stronger. I acknowledge His hand in my life, have a personal relationship with Him, and always try to seek His direction for my life. I know He has a plan for my life and I hope it includes someone to share life's adventures again. Living alone and doing what you want when you want, etc. may sound attractive....but I prefer sharing life's joys with a loving spouse.
I like to be outside on nice days - mowing, planting flowers, making my home a pleasant place to be..or sometimes just laying on a raft on my pond, relaxing in the hammock or going places. I like auctions, antique malls, fast pitch softball games, walking, going on rides taking in the beautiful countryside, and seeing new sights.
I retired after teaching young children for 28 years (kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade). They bring joy to my heart. Their innocence, the funny things they do and say, and their giving of themselves totally makes them a joy to be around. I am close to my own grown children and their spouses. Last summer I was blessed with becoming a "grandma" to a beautiful little grandson and my second daughter had a little girl on Oct. 18. Though I have close family relations, I miss the companionship of a supportive spouse...someone to share good (and bad) times with...someone to laugh with, talk to, go places with, and just be together side by side. I miss that special someone to snuggle next to while watching a movie. I miss waking up to someone to plan the experiences of the day. I like to have other couples over for a BBQ or cards, etc. I like to canoe and kayak rivers. I had two horses once and enjoy riding, though I haven't done it in a while.. I even owned a motorcycle once! Everyone likes to be shown they are LOVED! I do like romance and think it can be made to "stay alive" in a marriage. It is important that we love each other for who we are and not who we want our spouse to become. (Not that we can't grow and change in positive ways as we progress)
I guess we are all looking for a partner with similar interests and values. I feel it is very important to attend Church and go to the Temple together. This will strengthen a relationship and keep us strong and committed.
Thanks for reading my profile. I am hoping to meet that special man with similar desires who wants to share life's experiences, be there for each other, and grow closer together.
