Hello! (Quick note, if the photo gets approved my profile will change to me tossing a baby girl in the air. She's my niece and she's fine :P )
I'm Matthew, (currently in MD) and I travel home to Utah frequently (or plan to) and I'm a 2nd Lt. in the US Air Force going to grad school. I had to sell many of my prized possessions to afford to get out here. My poor motorcycle has a new owner. But fret not. I'm going to get another. And a truck. And a hang glider. Unless I have to spend money on a lady friend first ;)
For my idea of a romantic time listen to: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Fishin' in the dark on youtube.
For my idea of a good party listen to: Def leppard - Rock Of Ages on youtube.
For my idea of a romantic song listen to: Romantic Flight from How To Train Your Dragon (The saphire42 version is great).
For my idea of a sad song listen to: Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss - Whiskey Lullaby
For how I feel when I screw up an exam and have to recover: Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down
For my idea of a great relationship: Brad Paisley - Little Moments
For my idea of Sunday listen to: Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing - Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Come, Come, Ye Saints - Mormon Tabernacle Choir, How Firm a Foundation - Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and High on the Mountain Top - Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
For my idea of why the trumpet is one of, if not the, greatest instrument ever created, listen to Jean-Joseph Mouret: Rondeau from "Sinfonie de Fanfares" and "tenThing plays Carmen"
Hopefully I've expanded your musical horizons and shared a bit of my personality at the same time. I love listening to music. It is my de-stressor. If I had someone to play with I'd perform it more also. Only so much motivation when I'm playing alone.
I should also note that I'm an incredible "ham". That's just my sense of humor. And sarcasm. And a little slapstick for the kids. I'm looking for someone light hearted, hard working, and who isn't scared of trying new things. (I mention hang gliding earlier, but I also mean foods and whatnot.) I see my friends in relationships and (I know we're not supposed to compare) but they all seem to have a certain upbeat attitude about it that I'm looking for. (The ones with apparently happy relationships anyway). Once you lose that and start throwing blame around or holding grudges it just spirals and crashes. Keep positive, work together and live the gospel. If you feel you fit the bill send me a note.
