Though it's had some bad moments in recent years, life is better than ever. I've been a pretty straight arrow since I was a kid, and the last thing I or family members and friends would have expected for me is going through a tough marriage and divorce. Through it, I've learned that God's promises are certain if not swift and that He is unfailingly as generous as possible. I've also learned that good people who try to make good choices can, without warning, find themselves in very tough situations. I know better who I am now than at any time in my life. My appreciation for the gospel and the fraternity and equality it stands for is deeper than ever.
I spend a lot of free time reading, writing, and hanging out with friends. I love soccer and try to play once a week and to watch every U.S. men's game I can. I'm also a die-hard BYU football fan. I love Lubbock and am currently serving in the Spanish branch in my stake.
I recently graduated from Harvard Law School and work as a commercial litigation attorney at Law Offices of Fernando M. Bustos. It's the best job I've ever had. I learn and am challenged every day. My boss is a great guy, and I get to help a wide range of clients, from destitute non-English speaking immigrants to mid-size corporations.
I'm glad to be moving on with my life and excited to get to know the good folks here looking to do the same.
