Hello, my name is Dallin! I've lived in Boise for two years now, but I'm from Kaysville, Utah. I graduated from BYU with a degree in journalism, and I currently work as a copy editor at the Idaho Statesman. That means I work basically every night, helping put the paper together for the next morning.
I served a mission in the Czech Republic, and I look forward to getting married in the temple and raising a family. I'm pretty quiet and shy, but I'm very easy-going, generally happy, and sometimes funny. I'm a hard worker and a very focused individual — sometimes too focused. I also have a hard time with the concept of flirting. You might have to come right out and tell me you're flirting with me. :)
I am a really big sports fan, especially of the Utah Jazz and BYU football. I've been collecting basketball cards since I was 11, and I now have roughly 4,000 cards in my collection. Speaking of my OCD collecting habits, I have compiled the entire Top 500 Songs list from Rolling Stone magazine, and I am (very slowly) working on their Top 500 Albums list. I'm a big fan of music of all different genres, and this was a fun way for me to discover more music. I also played trumpet in my high school marching band.
Another one of my passions is superheroes. Batman, Superman and the Flash are my favorites, and I'm currently reading The Flash comic books (yes, they still do make comic books). You could say that I read comic books because I get tired of reading so much text at my job and I like looking at something with pictures, or you could say that I'm just a big kid (which is most likely the real reason). But I also like to write a lot, and I'm currently managing two superhero-themed blogs (mainly because I don't get many opportunities to write at work).
Well, that's probably more about me than you ever wanted to know. But if my geekiness hasn't completely pushed you away, then please send me a message!
