I go back and forth on the online meet and greet. I've met many wonderful people but have had some reservations about it all. The quick and dirty about myself...I am originally from Florida. I moved here via the military and now call Virginia my home. After many diverse jobs I am currently working as a life cycle logistician with the DoD. After spending four years in the Marine Corp, I played Mom and stayed home with my 2 children. I was married for 5 years and divorced about 10 years ago. After my divorce I went back into the workforce as a gov't contractor.
I like to do outdoor activities especially camping/hiking with my babies. I like to stay active. I'm a big fan of whitewater rafting. I had a yearly trip to the New River up until about 3 years ago when I injured my foot just before the trip and I've been dying to go. My job however keeps me very busy and has me traveling on a monthly basis. I can't complain as I have gotten to travel to multiple US locations. All beautiful in their own setting. I have done some international trips with my Mom's non-profit to take shoes to children and dedicate a school that they built.
One of my biggest accomplishments is having run the Marine Corps Marathon (and finished). Only second to being a Mom, of course. I have 2 wonderful children whom i continue to stay active with. My daughter likes volleyball so we just put a net in the back yard to play. And my son is into martial arts(mma style) and I have the bruises to prove him and I spar all the time. I thank my Heavenly Father daily for the blessing of watching them grow up in life and the gospel. Seminary mornings still get me...zero dark thirty comes way to early some mornings.
My semi newest accomplishment was breaking a world record. Ask me about it...
I love art...Washington @valley Forge is one of my favorites. I have a small version that hangs on my wall. I fell in love with Dali as a teen after visiting his museum in Tampa. I never took a class so i can't tell you periods or if a painting is abstract or not :) but visually I can point out what I like.
I enjoy conversation and getting to know people. I've been told that I can be intimidating sometimes because I've done a lot and have a lot to discuss. Intelligence/education is important to me and will keep me interested in a conversation. I'm also a fan sometimes of just silly fun.
I love my Savior and have been baptized by fire. I am looking for someone who burns from within spiritually. Someone who I can be sealed to for the eternities. I'm sure I will meet many friends along the way but my goals are eternal in nature not temporal. This life was given to prepare and that is what I have been doing.
I am really not good at talking about myself in esasy form so if you would like to know more, sit for a smoothie, go to an art museum, do dinner, movies or head out for a hike...send me a message.
