Hello,

I was born and raised in Northern Maine (Presque Isle) and spent many weekends at our camp at Portage Lake roaming through the woods, snowshoeing, swimming, canoeing, water skiing and horseback riding. I loved it all but had no idea there was such a wonderful world below Bangor. After Jr. College, I moved to Boston, New York, and then California. I eventually settled in the Sacto. area and raised my three children while working my way through school to become a teacher. I was divorced from my husband, Ken, when my children were young... later remarried him but it just didn't work out. He played drums for John Lee Hooker and the Coast to Coast Blues Band for years and had a hard time changing even after he joined the church. He was a good man but died young because of his life style.

For the past fifteen years, teaching middle school has been my calling. I'm finally happy with myself, but there is just one thing missing.... a friend to dance through life with. It is important to play, be positive about life, and "hopefully" learn from experiences how to be closer to our savior. When all is said and done, my goal is to go on a mission for the church.

Service:

I was an ordinance worker at the Sacramento Temple for almost two years and have just been called as a Ward Missionary. I have been a teacher in primary, Sunday School and Relief Society, Secretary in Stake Relief Society, Counselor in Primary, Stake Missionary, Ward and Stake Single Adult Rep., nursery worker (great job), librarian, activities board member, and a visiting teacher. Don't we all have a go-around with these callings if we are in the church for any length of time? Ya just can't hide from the Bishop.

Hobbies:

I love to sail and kayak the most, although I am not an expert sailor. Love the water and most sports. I'm up for almost anything within reason and my body's acceptance.
