Anyway. This is me.

I approach life with lots of curiosity and passion for everything that I do. I love asking questions and getting below the surface. Every day is an adventure, and I want to discover its full potential!

I think I'm funny. I like people who also think I'm funny. And I like them best when they can keep up and be funny with me. :)

I love reading everything that I can get my hands on, and love it when I can talk books with people.

I'm a middle school teacher (ESL), and despite all of our own traumatic memories from those years, I love the kids. They're hilarious, insightful, and NEVER boring. I love having a job that I'm passionate about. I also sometimes suffer from wanting-to-save-the-world-itis.

I grew up in Seattle, went to Utah to do the BYU thing, and now live just outside Portland, Oregon. Turns out that I have a very Northwest soul.

I speak Spanish, though not as well as I'd like to.

New Zealand has a place in my heart.

I use both sides of a sheet of paper.

I'm good-natured. I'm not afraid to disagree, to express an honest opinion, or feel an honest emotion, but I can do all those things without getting angry. I don't believe in sugar-coating, but I do believe in being happy, even during trials.

People with an interesting vocabulary win all kinds of points from me.

I think "Stranger than Fiction" is the best under-rated movie.

I love to travel, and I love to come home again. I love new adventures, and familiar comforts.

I need someone who can admit when I'm right (I usually am), and tell me when I'm wrong (rarely, but it does happen). ;)

I'm looking for someone who realizes life will have all kinds of unexpected storms, but that's ok, because it gives us the opportunity to put on our awesome galoshes. I'm looking for someone who's ok with my nonsensical metaphors, and my affinity for words like galoshes.
