Hi. I've been thinking about how to introduce myself in 2500 characters or less. By my count, I've totally wasted 67 characters telling you that. I'm not off to a good start.
I'm not a fitness fanatic, but I've recently started running - short distances mostly - like up the stairs to get a cookie and back down to watch TV. I'm working up to a 10K, but realistically there's no way I can eat that many cookies.
Here are some things I like:
- Carrying a sleeping child.
- Being carried while I sleep.
- The bright green of spring.
- The warmth of summer.
- The quiet of winter.
- The gospel of Jesus Christ.
- My daughters.
Here are some things I don't like:
- Stinging insects.
- Biting insects.
- Flying insects.
- Crawling insects.
I have an uneasy alliance with spiders. I don't like them and don't fully trust them, but I recognize that they kill insects. As long as they don't invade my personal territory or threaten my global interests, I choose to let them live.
I tend to be quite philosophical and often get lost in thought pondering important questions. Things like why, when you're sweeping the floor, will the dog always walk right through the pile of dirt instead of going around? Why does bacon get smaller when you cook it? I want more bacon, not less. (Just in case you're thinking, "Boy, is this guy stupid," you should know that I figured out the answer to the bacon question weeks ago. It's a little thing called evaporation.)
I'm a single dad with three teenage daughters and two dogs. The girls love the dogs; I threaten their lives on a daily basis. It keeps them humble and obedient. I wonder if the same technique would work for training dogs... (You can tell I'm joking, right? I don't really threaten my children.)
That's a little about me. If you'd like to know more, drop me a line.
