Fun loving person, career oriented, looking for friend first before considering a forever relationship. Loves bicycling with mom and would love a riding partner. Love art, movies, great food (variety), cooking and outdoors. I work in human resources. While career is important to me, family is first. If the Lord sees fit, I would stay at home while kids are young to raise. I believe it takes BOTH parents to raise kids. I would not want someone else to raise my child(ren).
What am I looking for? I want a eternal companion who I can lean on and be the support for them, if and when needed. I want a partner who is equally yoked. A partner who wants to spend time with me and shows it. It is good to have time with other friends, but I want a future husband to court me. Yes, court me even when married. I will court him and support his hobbies too. I want to be their support as well.
Yes, I am divorced, but no kids. That is a long story saved for a later discussion. However, I believe the Lord played his hand in this. Yes, I am open to dating someone with kids. It does, however, need to be the person God has chosen for my eternal companion.
I am a recent convert (2009) and working towards going to the temple. I am the only member of the Church in my family, which is challenging at time. So, I want a man strong in the gospel, to help me grow spiritually. I love to try new things and foods. However, I am afraid of heights so sky diving and rock climbing are likely out. :)
I am the youngest of five kids. I was a surprise as my parents only expected one child, not two. Yes, I am a fraternal twin, a brother. My parents had a wonderful marriage of just over 48 years before dad passed away in 2010. I miss him terribly, but I will see him again. I will always be a daddy's girl.
As stated in my first paragraph, I love bicycling with my mom even if I can barely keep up. I also enjoy being outdoors, fishing, camping, cooking (with a partner), reading, and keeping fit. I hope my companion would be open to going to musical performances, both rock and classical. I enjoy drama and theater in the park. I enjoy the symphony. I will do things my partner enjoys too. I will bait my own hook fishing and even do the scaling. Courtesy of my grandpa. No grandkid of mine is going to be a wuss. :) I am a bit of a tom boy as I grew up stripping paint off cars for my allowance. My dad had an auto body shop. I can very girlie to so I like my spa days, shopping and getting gussied up. I do like to go out to eat. I hope my future partner would be open to new restaurants.
I believe the Lord wants us to keep our temple (our Lord made bodies) healthy and well cared for. I do not believe in letting myself go. No, I am not narcissist, self absorbed or all about appearance. If married, I want to show I appreciate my partner by looking nice for him too. :) I have too many friends who have divorced because one of the partners started taking their partner for granted, both male and female.
I like to be fit, but I have to say I struggle to fit it in. I do mosaics and like to decorate my home. If one is wanting a Martha Stewart type, I am not your girl. I always joke the church will domesticate me yet. My mom and sister are both exrtremely organized home makers and handy too. Alas, I did not inherit it. I REALLY wish I did. I do try. Because I am not the best in this area, I want a partner who will and wants to help/share in the household duties. I will help with the traditional male chores too, such as mowing the lawn, home repairs. I just need guidance.
I love to travel, but thus far my budget has not allowed for anything too exotic. Hopefully as I grow in my career, the budget will improve for those exotic locales. Thus far, I have been to England, Italy (northern) and Germany (Bavaria). England back in college on a student exchange trip and Germany/Italy to visit family as a graduations present to myself when I completed my masters. While I am educated and love to learn, I am not snobby. I have working class values. I grew up working in my fathers business since I was a wee one. My allowance came in form of a paycheck as my parents believed in teaching a value of a dollar.
Whew, I was totally serious. I do like to have fun! Hmm. I can't think of anything else. If interested, give me a shout. :)
