I enjoy life. I am very positive in my outlook on life and my future. I am open and quite social while at the same time, being discrete. People have often said that I look and act at least ten years younger than I am, which hopefully means that I have had some success in taking care of myself.
I am a professional agrologist and I love what I do. There is a lot of personal satisfaction that comes from helping my farm clients achieve their goals. I am still actively working and pursuing future goals, combined with the opportunity to teach some of what I have learned over the years. I love learning and expanding my knowledge. Truth is truth, regardless where you find it.
Except for my paternal grandmother, I am 5-6 generation member of the Church, recognizing that regardless of our background, we need to establish our own testimony of Jesus Christ, the truthfulness of his Gospel and the revealed scriptures. Because of my wife's history in the Church as well, our children are rather unique in that they are 6-7 generation members on 7 of their 8 lines.
I had 44 years with my best friend and am so grateful for all that we had together. I love our kids and our grandkids but most of all, I love the Lord.
A number of years ago, I heard a quote from Pres. Joseph Fielding Smith, when he was Pres. of the Twelve, that resonated with me. "Agency is doing what you promised Heavenly Father you would do before you left his presence."
