What to say? What would a person first glancing over my greeting want to know? Hard worker, reasonably bright, articulate, adventuresome, leader when called upon, artsy and creative.....I suppose all those things are applicable. But more importantly, I am 100% solid in my testimony of Jesus Christ and my commitment to serve. I have returned to my homeland (Maine) from Atlanta to do just that in caring for my aged (90) parents for a time.
Like most of you, throughout the course of my life there have been joys and sorrow, triumphs and tragedies and while I'm not yet like the Apostle Paul when he said that he "gloried in tribulation", I am grateful for each twist and turn that has taught me many valuable lessons.
I'm not sure that I'll be able to find a match in this life, but I would be remiss in not trying at all. I've been single now for as long as I was married so I've learned to be independent and get along on my own. (You'd be impressed at my tool collection :o) However, it would be great to have a faithful companion to share my love and life with. Thankfully, the Lord has blessed me with good health and energy and would like to look forward to future adventures with someone of the same mindset.
I'm looking for someone with like values who is tried and true to his covenants, who wants to build the kingdom beginning with family, and who wants to begin the "getting to know you" process. I'm not nearly so concerned with where you've been as much as where you are now and where you're willing to go in the future. I think at first it's important to just enjoy the journey and not stress about the destination. :o)
